The Holidays are coming around again....... and I am starting to feel like Charlie Brown. The stores are beginning to roll out Christmas....OOPS! I mean, holiday decor. Sear's has had holiday models out since late summer; ads are advertising prices good "through the holidays"; Kohl's has the ornaments section laid out, and amongst it all is a glaring lack of.........

                                                     CHRISTMAS!

Commercializim is fine to a point, but when stores remove CHRIST in order to please everyone, it has gone to far. The Holidays, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Kawanza, Hannukkah - sorry to anyone if I left out any more-obscure holidays - get plastered all over ads.......but CHRISTMAS is left out. Thankfully, not all stores ignore it, but many do.

I think we all need to realize why we celebrate CHRISTMAS. Not to give gifts, get gifts, have warm feelings, or any other reason. The reason for the season is JESUS CHRIST: to celebrate the one gift that changes everything in our lives.
