It’s a sad day in America when…..

·         Using God’s name in vain is normal and present at all times, but using God’s name in itself can put a target on your back

·         People are more concerned about saving trees than saving babies

·         Engaging in pre-marital sex is okay because hey, who needs virginity?

·         The very principle it was founded on – God – is now a common joke in many high schools

·         Politicians are more concerned with being “politically correct” than taking a stand for what is right

·         More than half of marriages today end in divorce

·         Pornographic pictures are everywhere but a picture of the cross is offending

·         Drugs and alcohol are ever-present, even when it causes physical harm

·         Condoms are given out freely at public schools, but the publication of “religious material” causes problems and even lawsuits

·         Kids are allowed to be disrespectful to the adults around them without a second thought

It’s a sad day in the church when…..

·         You can’t walk in without hearing some kind of negative talk about something somebody did

·         They choose not to take a stand for those unborn babies

·         A pregnant teenager walks through the doors looking for hope, she is met with stares and gossip, and not love and support

·         God is just as big a “joke” in the youth group as in the high school

·         The pastor is more concerned with being “politically correct” than taking a stand for what is right

·         The half of marriages that end in divorce includes church members

·         The member focus more on pornographic pictures than the cross

·         Christians take part in drugs and alcohol, even though they claim their body is the Temple of God

·         No one attempts to reach out to the kids who need it the most, because they are afraid of “offending” or causing lawsuits

·         Kids are allowed to be disrespectful to the elders of the church and the building itself without a second thought 

Think about it. Which do you think hurts God more?  The fact that non-Christians do not acknowledge him or the fact that Christians refuse to do anything about it?  We are the chosen people of God, and we are to preach the gospel in our world today.  Revelation 3:16 says:

“But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!”

Shouldn’t people be able to tell a difference when they see us around town?  Better yet, shouldn’t they see a difference when they walk through the doors of a church building?  Take a stand today to be the one to make a difference and changes the “status quo” of churches today.
